RANAP HandOver procedure

0

Hi, I have some problem with decoding a RANAP packet when I perform a HandOver. Some RANAP packets are malformed in this case. (I'm using 1.6.1 version of Wireshark) I have opened the problem report agains our developers, but they claim that this is a bug of Wireshark and not their protocol stack. See below the description of a problem. ======================================= When HO procedure is performed (intra Freq HO), some RANAP packets are malformed: 1. id-RelocationPreparation (source HNB --> GW) toTargetRNC-Container: interRATHandoverInfo interRATHandoverInfo: criticalExtensions RANAP part is malformed

  1. id-RelocationResourceAllocation (target HNB --> GW) HandoverToUTRANCommand: criticalExtensions RRC packet malformed

  2. id-RelocationPreparation (GW --> source HNB) RANAP packet malformed ================================== Thanks

Feel free to file a bug report at bugs.wireshark.org. Be sure to include: Wireshark build/version information, a sample capture file, the problem description based on this capture and possible reference to relevant standards.
