Can anyone tell me where I can find an inexpensive tap. I have tried amazon and google and they both give me bogus results? Does anybody know of a particular website that I can go to? asked 22 Aug '12, 05:01 I_GEEK_IT |

Tough question, because there are tons of different taps. What kind of tap do you need? Copper, Fiber, 100MBit/1GBit/10GBit, Link Aggregation, etc etc. Basically you might want to take a look at my previous post here: http://ask.wireshark.org/questions/3413/network-tap and afterwards I can recommend taking a look at what eBay has to offer - often you can find good taps there with a very nice price tag. answered 22 Aug '12, 05:32 Jasper ♦♦ |
And don't forget the check the Wireshark Wiki. answered 22 Aug '12, 06:51 Jaap ♦ |
The Dualcomm DCGS-2005 is pretty nice for copper Ethernet. Dualcomm is mentioned in the Wiki, but not linked.
