I am trying to package and deploy Wireshark 1.10.9 and I must have the "check for updates" under the Help icon, disabled, greyed out, or removed. Can someone furnish an answer on how this can be accomplished? Thanks asked 11 Aug '14, 10:22  Irishbug |

There is an item in the preferences "Check for Updates" (gui.update.enabled in the preferences file) that you could preset to be disabled, but users could easily enable that again.
