If you use WireShark to sniff a Wireless Network…

If you are utilizing Wireshark as a Sniffing tool to sniff a wireless network, I assume that you are sniffing all the traffic of an 802.11 wireless network is this correct? It's not like a Switched 802.3 Network that may require either port-forwarding or a Network Tap to be used to sniff the traffic of other hosts on the network correct?

Thanks in advance.
