The IP that works is 192.168.26.6 ... the IP that does not work is 192.168.201.158 .... my SQL server is located at 192.168.201.235 ... any help at this time would be appreciative.

So we are just interested in the two connections to 192.168.201.235 on port 12601? Not the TDS database connections to port 51686.

  1. Client 192.168.26.6 : 57976
  2. Client 192.168.201.158 : 55506

There is just one connection each and they look very similar. However, (1) doesn't terminate whereas (2) is terminated by a client Reset (packet #1424).

The last request/response in each connection look very similar with the response being a single byte with value x07 (#939 and #1387).

There's really nothing to differentiate the two connections - other than the client didn't seem to like (2) and issued a Reset.

There doesn't seem to be any timing correlation with the server backend SSL traffic to 10.40.50.197.

So you are hunting for a reason that your other PC decides to terminate the connection with a Reset whereas client 1 does not. Here are the two "Follow Stream" outputs (I've hidden the last line of each - which were identical). Stream-2 is the good one and Stream-8 is the failed one (and contains 20 more bytes).

You can extract this data yourself by right-clicking on any of the data packets in the relevant connections and choosing "Follow - TCP Stream".
