Why am I getting no interfaces found? How do I define an interface?

I get this message when I click on "Interfaces" on the main screen:

There are no interfaces on which a capture can be done.

I am using Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Leopard

I figured out the problem. The bpf* files didn't have the correct permissions. Once I fixed that it worked fine.
