IS there a way to capture 3G packets when connecting to the internet using Nokia E5. I was able to connect using HTC as the interface appeared normally, but for E5 the interface isn't seen.

Could it be related to HTC being android which is based on a linux kernal? while Nokia E5 isn't?

phones wireless modems, and other things that do not connect with LAN or Wifi are calld RAW protocols so they cant be moniterd you can use smsniff for basic sniffing
